On Monday, 30 million VND in bonuses from Da Nang’s budget was presented to the Drug-related Crime Investigation Division of the municipal Department of Police for successfully breaking up a drugs ring which was led by 43-year-old Pham Thi Nga from Lang Son Province.  This is the largest-scale drugs ring ever to have been uncovered in the city.

On the same day, local police officers decided to prosecute and impose temporary custody on Mrs Nga and her daughter, Pham Thi Bich Phuong.  They have been charged with operating an illegal drug trade and possession of drugs.
