Large-scale drugs ring smashed
On Sunday, the Drug-related Crime Investigation Division of the Da Nang Department of Police successfully broke up a large-scale drugs ring which was led by 43-year-old Pham Thi Nga from Lang Son Province.
At 8.30am on Sunday, Nga was unloading her luggage from a coach at the city’s coach station when she was questioned by local police officers. She was charged with illegal drug transportation after the local police had found and seized 2,340 ecstasy tablets in her luggage. By then, 140 grams of methamphetamine had also been found at the Honey Hotel on Da Nang’s Ngo Quyen Street, which is owned by Ms Nga.
