Course in climate change adaptation held in city
Over 40 officials and employees involved in climate change mitigation from Da Nang’s relevant departments and agencies attended a training course in climate change on Monday.
During the event, the Discipline Head of the Urban and Environmental Planning Faculty at the UK’s Griffith University, Professor Darryl Low Choy, introduced participants to the knowledge, necessary skills and valuable experiences needed to develop the city’s pilot climate change response plans. In addition, participants had the opportunity to learn about relevant experiences from Australia and China.
The event was jointly organised by the city’s High-quality Human Resources Development Centre, the local Steering Committee for Response to Climate Change, and the Griffith University. The course made a significant contribution to enhancing the professional skills of those involved in climate change response activities.
