Ensuring sufficient and stable power supplies
Da Nang is seeing an increasing demand for electricity from its businesses and residents due to the ongoing heat wave.
According to the latest statistics released by the power company, the city’s total power consumption in May jumped by 12% compared with the same period last year. The highest recorded for a day was 8.1 million kWh, breaking last year’s record of 7.1 million kWh. The company has ensured that there have not been any power outages in local residential areas over the past months.

The power company has taken numerous effective measures from the start of the year to ensure stable power supplies for local residents during this year’s dry season.
The focus has been on checking and maintaining the electric grid and equipment to promptly detect and handle any potential problems. This has helped to minimise the risk of power cuts despite the high demand for electricity during the past few months.
Continuing efforts will be made to ensure sufficient power supplies for local residents and the security of the local electricity grid.
