Forty members of Da Nang’s Youth Union (YU), including young doctors, government employees and university students, are carrying out voluntary work in Laos' Salavan Province until 17 June.

This is part of the 2015 International Summer Voluntary Programme which has been launched by the municipal YU organisation.

Between 12 and 14 June, the volunteers provided free medical examinations and medicines to 2,000 local residents.  The Laotian patients were mainly suffering from bronchitis and digestive and degenerative spinal diseases.
