The Da Nang Women’s Union and the National Institute for Science and Technology Policy and Strategy recently held a workshop at the headquarters of the Man Thai Ward People’s Committee in Son Tra District.  The purpose was to collect opinions from the participants in order to complete publicity handbooks on climate change for those living in coastal areas.

The handbook features easily understandable words and necessary information to help local residents, especially those living in coastal areas, understand more about climate change, its impact on their daily lives, and how to cope with climate change.

The workshop was part of the 'Publicising Climate Change Risks for Adaptation in Coastal and Delta Communities in Viet Nam' research project.  Funded by the International Development Research Centre, the project is being implemented in Da Nang, Can Tho and Quy Nhon.
