In attempt to raise public awareness of the implementation of the city’s “No Rubbish on Da Nang's Beaches” programme, the municipal People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho has asked local relevant agencies to submit to the city authorities plans for imposing punishments on environmental violators at local beaches.  Once approved, the punishments will be applied from next month.

In addition, Chairman Duc Tho also directed local beach service providers to keep the prices of their services at local public bathing areas unchanged.  In addition, a focus should be on cleaning up the section from the public bathing area of Sao Bien beach to that of the Pham Van Dong Beach No 1 before 5am every day.  Surveillance cameras should be installed at local public bathing areas to detect and handle any cases of personal property theft from bathers.
