Traditional Medicine Hospital opens second facility
Last Saturday, the Da Nang Traditional Medicine Hospital officially opened its second facility at 342 Phan Chau Trinh Street in Hai Chau District. This is the former site of the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, which has moved into the city’s Administrative Centre. The construction of the new facility aims to deal with the patient overload at the existing 140-bed hospital at 9 Tran Thu Do Street in Cam Le District.
The new facility specialises in drug detoxification through acupuncture treatment in combination with Vietnamese traditional medicines. In addition, it offers free rehabilitation programmes for local disabled children and healthcare services for the elderly.

The new facility has a clubhouse for local traditional medical practitioners, and anyone else interested in Eastern medicine, where they can together discuss the benefits of tea and folk remedies for health recoveries.
