A training course on the skills necessary for young people to succeed is running between 1 and 4 June in Da Nang.  The event is being jointly organised by the municipal Youth Federation and the city’s Department of Foreign Affairs.

The 4-day event is part of the ‘Skills to Succeed’ project which is being deployed in the city between March 2014 and November 2015.  The project is being funded by Save the Children International (SCI), the world’s leading independent organisation for children.

At the event, about 20 members from the youth union organisations at some local colleges were introduced to necessary life skills and those for team-working, financial management, business start-up activities, and other aspects.

Under the project, the focus is on helping young people to seek internships and suitable jobs.  In addition, consultancy services are provided for those who are interested in doing business and helping them to access bank loans to start up their own businesses.
