Following approval by the Da Nang People’s Committee (PC), from today (28 September) cars are prohibited from using the Han River Bridge during rush hours.  The ban covers the hours from 6.00 am to 8.00 am and from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm every day.

The municipal PC has urged the Department of Transport to widely publicise the ban to local road users.  In addition, the city’s Police Department will work closely with local relevant agencies to increase their patrols and checks at the bridge.  Strict penalties will be imposed on those who violate the new traffic regulation at this bridge.
