According to a recent survey conducted by the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), only 49 of the 250 surveyed local businesses have paid special attention to improving their capacity for natural disaster risk.

The main reasons seem to be that local businesses are reluctant to spend their capital on this aspect due to their limited finance resources, and they are uncertain about profits coming from their investment.
