On Wednesday, the Thach Thang Ward Police in Da Nang’s Hai Chau District returned a bag which had been left behind in a 16-seater tourist minibus by a newly-married couple from South Korea.  They were staying in the city for their honeymoon.

On 2 November, Mrs Lee Kyung Sook and her husband took the minibus from the Da Nang International Airport to a hotel on Pham Van Dong Street, and then to the Novotel Danang Premier Han River on Bach Dang Street.  Soon after they arrived the couple realised that their bag, which contained about 1.8 million Korean Won and nearly 600 USD, had been lost and they didn't know how to contact the driver of the vehicle.

The couple immediately asked Novotel’s security guards to report the loss to the ward police.  After several hours, the police officers managed to track down the driver and recover the bag.

A reward of 10 million VND in cash from the district’s budget was given to the police officers for successfully resolving the case.

The District People’s Committee Chairman, Mr Le Anh, remarked that Da Nang is a city of tourism and therefore the priority is always to deal with issues relating to visitors in a quick and effective manner.
