On Tuesday, the Hai Son Shipbuilding and Repair Company of the Da Nang-based Song Thu Corporation handed over a steel-hulled fishing vessel, QNa-95977TS, to fisherman Phan Thu from Quang Nam Province’s Thang Binh District.

The new ship is the first of its kind to be built for the province by the company under Government Decree No 67/2014/ND-CP regarding fisheries development policies.

The 822CV, 25.2m-long and 6.5m-wide vessel is capable of fishing all day and night.  It is equipped with a 20kW generator and a 10kW hybrid generator is used for its high-voltage lighting systems.  Most notably, it features a 70m³ frozen storage area which keeps the catches in good condition for 20 days.
