Appealing for public donations for AO victims

A number of charitable events will be held across Da Nang to mark the 55th anniversary of the first use of Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin in Viet Nam and also the national day for AO victims (10 August).  The aim is to appeal for public donations to help the 5,000 local AO victims.

An outdoor activity entitled ‘Walking for Vietnamese AO/dioxin Victims’ will take place on the morning of Friday 5 August, and it will be broadcast live on Da Nang Radio and Television (DRT) channels.

In addition, a charity concert will be held at the Trung Vuong Theatre in the evening of the same day. 

These events will be jointly organised by the Da Nang Association of AO Victims, the municipal Military Headquarters, DRT, the War Veterans' Association, the Youth Union, the Peace Committee, and the Labour Union.
