On Thursday, the Da Nang Cancer Hospital started a project called ‘Satellite Hospital 2016 - 2020’.

Under the project, the hospital will receive technological assistance, and training courses for its medical staff to enhance their professional skills, from the Ho Chi Minh City Cancer Hospital.

The project will help to enhance the quality of medical examinations and treatment at the Da Nang Cancer Hospital, and give patients from the central region access to these higher-quality services.  In addition, it will help to reduce patient overload at the hospitals in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, and perfect cancer prevention and treatment technology nationwide.

The Da Nang Cancer Hospital is one of the Ho Chi Minh City Cancer Hospital’s 6 satellite centres in the 2016 - 2020 period.  The other 5 venues are the general hospitals in Binh Dinh, Dong Nai, Kien Giang, Ca Mau and Lam Dong provinces.
