Discussion on green technologies for safer food
On Monday, an international seminar entitled ‘Green Technologies for Safe Food Chains’ took place in Da Nang.

The event had been co-organised by the city’s Dong A University, the Viet Nam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFOST), and the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFOST).
Discussions focussed on the mass media risk management about food, organic agricultural products, and the capacity to detect toxins in food.
Prof Kwan-Hwa Park, former Chairman of the Korean Society of Food Science and Technology, introduced the remarkable achievements and development orientations of transforming starch, and producing high-quality rice.
Also at the event, the city’s university, IUFOST and VAFOST together entered into an agreement to conduct highly applicable scientific research into food technologies.
