On Tuesday, the Acting Editor-in-Chief of the DA NANG Newspaper, Mr Truong Cong Dinh, was promoted to be the newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief.

In congratulating Mr Dinh, municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri asked him to join efforts with the newspaper’s staff to constantly improve its quality and design, and strictly comply with its principles and purposes in order to secure the newspaper’s position as the voice of the Party, government and people of Da Nang.

Deputy Secretary Tri underlined that, in the 2 decades since its recognition as a centrally-governed city on 1 January 1997, Da Nang has recorded many remarkable and historic accomplishments which lay a firm foundation for the city to make even more breakthroughs in future years.  In such a context, the city leader also took the opportunity to urge the newspaper, along with other relevant local agencies, to uphold the spirit of solidarity and creativity amongst its staff members.  The intention is to secure the newspaper’s position as a pioneer in the local cultural and ideological sector, and to make Da Nang an even more prosperous, peaceful, civilised and modern city in the years ahead.

Mr Dinh expressed his honour and pleasure at taking up the position.  He promised that he and the newspaper’s staff would jointly do their utmost to improve the quality of the newspaper in order to truly reflect the aspirations of local residents from all walks of life.
