The event’s organisers, Evergreen Labs, a start-up business in the city, said the market was for locals and ex-pats living in the city to prepare for Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations, taking place from January 27 to February 1.
It said 30 growers and suppliers displayed their products from selected organic and safe food farms in Da Nang at 30 stands from 7.00am till 7.00pm for visitors.
The fair also displayed crafts by NGOs, foreign residents and local people, as well as safe cuisine stalls.
Buyers and visitors explored the best ‘clean’ and safe produce and high quality products with transparent profiles that ensure safe and organic farming.
As scheduled, the market will be organised monthly from 2017.
This pilot market proved that the Da Nang community has an emerging concern about clean and safe food amongst locals and visitors. The market will offer a unique opportunity to purchase gifts for the upcoming Tet holiday.
