Over 13 billion VND raised from 'Warm Humanity' programme

As part of Da Nang's ongoing ‘Warm Humanity’ programme, a charity musical concert took place at the Trung Vuong Theatre at 7.30pm on Tuesday.  The intention was to raise funds for poor and disadvantaged people across the city, including children in very difficult circumstances.

At the concert, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman cum Head of the Department of Publicity and Training Dang Viet Dung presented commemorative medals to generous donors in honour of their generosity.  On behalf of the city leaders, he donated 150 million VND from the city budget to the Association of Charities and Children’s Rights Protection.

Also at the event, a total of 45 organisations and individuals were honoured in recognition of their active involvement in local charitable programmes launched by the Association over recent years.

Gifts and scholarships, worth 20 million VND each, were given to 20 poor local children who have overcome difficulties in their lives.

As of 30 May, the ‘Warm Humanity’ programme has raised a total of over 13 billion VND from organisations and individuals from both home and abroad.
