According to the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, yesterday Da Nang and elsewhere in the mid-central region experienced a fierce heat wave with temperatures between 35 and 36°C.  During the day, the lowest humidity was reported as 55 - 65%.

Today (1 June), the intense heat is forecast to be prolonged across the region, with daytime temperatures ranging between 35 and 37°C and some places hitting 38°C.  The lowest humidity is expected to be 50% - 60%.

The current hot spell is predicted to last for the next couple of days.
