International cycle race for charity to finish place in city today

The final stage of an international cycle race for charity entitled ‘Cycle a Difference Vietnam Challenge Ride’ will end in Da Nang today (3 June).

About 35 cyclists from the UK and other international organisations operating in Viet Nam and Asia will join the stage.  They will first conquer the Hai Van Pass, which is 496m above sea level and is at the geographical boundary between Da Nang and Thua Thien-Hue Province, before entering the streets of the city.  The race route in Da Nang will be Nguyen Luong Bang - Nguyen Tat Thanh - Thuan Phuoc Bridge - Yet Kieu - Ngo Quyen - Le Van Hien - the Paediatrics and Maternity Hospital.

This year’s race is taking place from 1 - 3 June with the route being Thanh My Town (Quang Nam Province) - A Luoi District (Thua Thien-Hue Province) - Dong Ha City (Quang Tri Province) - Hue City (Thua Thien-Hue Province) - Da Nang.

This is the 5th time that this international race has been held in Viet Nam.  The intention is to raise funds for the Newborns Vietnam neonatal nurse training programme at the Da Nang Paediatrics and Maternity Hospital.
