Following recent approval by the Da Nang’s People’s Committee, nearly 5 billion VND from the city budget will be spent on installing a control system for public lighting on a pilot basis.

Under the project, the focus will be on establishing a new lighting control centre, and placing 39 new control panels and upgrading 11 existing ones along major local streets and at inner-city locations.

In addition, the lighting control system will integrate the point-to-point monitoring of local lighting fixtures, decorative lights, and water music features.

In particular, the system will boast a feature which will give safety warnings about its cable network and collect information on environmental management activities.

The project aims to help the city enhance its efficiency in managing and operating the public lighting systems.
