The village, which operates under the management of the city’s Association for Supporting Poor and Disadvantaged Women and Children, is now home to a total of 113 disadvantaged children from Da Nang and Quang Nam Province.  Of these, 87 are orphans whilst the remainder are the hearing-impaired.

Thanks to financial aid from generous individuals and organisations from both home and abroad, over recent years, the village’s children have continued pursuing their academic dreams, and benefited from numerous vocational training courses, as well as attended many meaningful others on extracurricular subjects.  During public holidays, the village usually hosts many visiting groups from the city authorities, charity organisations and clubs from both home and abroad.

Notably, during the 2016 – 2017 academic year, 54 out of the total children here gained good and fair academic results, and 11 others successfully passed their the national senior high school graduation exams.

Vice State President Thinh highly praised the staff of the village and the Association, and especially the city leaders, for their great concern for the children over recent years.  The village is considered as a fairy home for orphaned and disadvantaged children because this is where they are being cared for in the loving arms of the community.

The country leader also took the opportunity to encourage the children here to make their greater efforts to become good citizens in society.

In addition, Vice State President Thinh gave scholarships funded by the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, worth 1 million VND each, to 50 children who achieved the outstanding results over the past academic year.
