Traffic arrangements for DIFF

The Da Nang Department of Police has announced new traffic arrangements in the city in order to ensure security at the forthcoming Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018 which will take place in the city from 30 April to 30 June.

In particular, no vehicles will be allowed to stop and park along a section of Bach Dang between its intersections with Ly Tu Trong and Tran Quy Cap from 5.00pm on 24 April to 11.00pm on 30 April, from 5.00pm on 20 May to 11.00 pm on 9 June, and from 5.00pm on 24 June to 11.00pm on 30 June.

On the days of the 5 fireworks shows - 30 April, 26 May, 2 June, 9 June, and 30 June - cars and other vehicles will be banned from using some sections of certain streets from 3.00pm until the end of each evening’s fireworks show to ensure traffic safety. 

In particular, no vehicles, except those led by police motorcycles, will be allowed to stop and park along Tran Phu and its connecting roads off Bach Dang, the section of Bach Dang between its intersections with Nguyen Van Linh and Thanh Dien Hai, the section of Tran Hung Dao between the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge and its intersection with Van Don, the section of Ngo Quyen between its intersections with Nguyen The Loc and Nguyen Cong Tru, the running roads between Tran Hung Dao and Ngo Quyen, and the frontage roads to the Rong and Han River bridges.

In addition, from 4.00pm until the end of each fireworks performance night, all cars will be prohibited from travelling along Bach Dang, Tran Phu, 3 February street, Pham Van Dong, Vo Van Kiet, Nguyen The Loc, the section of Le Duan between its intersection with Ong Ich Khiem and Tran Phu, the section of 2 September between the Tien Son and Rong bridges, the section of Tran Hung Dao from its intersections with Nguyen Cong Tru and Van Don, and the section of Ngo Quyen between its intersections with Nguyen Van Thoai and Yet Kieu.

Also, no vehicles will be allowed to use the Han River Bridge, Nguyen The Loc, the section of Bach Dang between its intersections with Phan Dinh Phung and Ly Thuong Kiet, and the section of Tran Hung Dao between its intersections with Nguyen Cong Tru and Van Don. The ban covers the hours from 5.00pm until the end of each evening’s fireworks show.

From 4.00pm to midnight, trailers and semi-trailers will be prohibited from travelling on Ngu Hanh Son and Ngo Quyen. All the above-mentioned bans will not be imposed on vehicles carrying VIP guests and DIFF delegates, the Festival’s organising board members, local security forces, and others involved in serving the event.

Regarding to traffic arrangements to different firework viewing stands, all coaches will arrive and leave the stands on the following routes:

Ngo Quyen-Tran Thanh Tong-Van Don-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa;

Ngo Quyen-Chu Huy Man-Van Don-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa;

Le Duc Tho-Ho Han Thuong-Le Van Duyet-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa;

Le Duc Tho-the running roads between Le Duc Tho and Chu Huy Man-Chu Huy Man-Ho Han Thuong-Le Van Duyet-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa.

Under-10 tonne coaches travelling from western side of the city to the viewing stands will be required to follow the routes: Nguyen Luong Bang-Nguyen Sinh Sac-Nguyen Tat Thanh-Thuan Phuoc Bridge-Le Duc Tho-the running roads between Le Duc Tho and Chu Huy Man-Chu Huy Man-Ho Han Thuong-Le Van Duyet-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa.

Meanwhile, over-10 tonne coaches will travel on the following routes:

Nguyen Tat Thanh-Nguyen Sinh Sac-Hoang Thi Loan-Truong Chinh-Le Dai Hanh-Nguyen Huu Tho-Xo Viet Nghe Tinh-Tien Son Bridge-Ho Xuan Huong-Vo Nguyen Giap-Hoang Sa-Le Duc Tho-Ho Han Thuong-Le Van Duyet-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa;

Ton Duc Thang-Truong Chinh-Le Dai Hanh-Nguyen Huu Tho-Xo Viet Nghe Tinh-Tien Son Bridge-Ho Xuan Huong-Vo Nguyen Giap-Hoang Sa-Le Duc Tho-Ho Han Thuong-Le Van Duyet-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa.

From the southwestern side of the city, under-13 tonne coaches will arrive in and leave the viewing stands on the following routes: 1A Highway-Pham Hung-Cam Le Bridge-Ong Ich Duong-Cach Mang Thang Tam-2 September-Tien Son Bridge-Ho Xuan Huong-Vo Nguyen Giap-Hoang Sa-Le Duc Tho-Ho Han Thuong-Le Van Duyet-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa.

Meanwhile, over-13 tonne coaches will travel on the following routes: 1A Highway-Cach Mang Thang Tam-2 September-Tien Son Bridge-Ho Xuan Huong-Vo Nguyen Giap-Hoang Sa-Le Duc Tho-Ho Han Thuong-Le Van Duyet-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa.

From the southeast side of the city, coaches will arrive in and leave the viewing stands on the following routes:

Vo Nguyen Giap-Hoang Sa-Le Duc Tho-Ho Han Thuong-Le Van Duyet-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa;

Le Van Hien-Ho Xuan Huong-Vo Nguyen Giap-Hoang Sa-Le Duc Tho-Ho Han Thuong-Le Van Duyet-the intersection between Van Don and Tran Hung Dao, and vice versa.
