All professional and amateur songwriters from both home and aboard are being invited to join in a contest to write songs about Da Nang.

This is the third time that the municipal Department of Culture and Sports has launched this meaningful event.

Under the contest’s rules, entries are required to highlight the city’s remarkable achievements recorded over recent years, and to showcase the special characteristics of the culture, land and people of Da Nang.

In particular, entries which feature innovations in terms of musical genres, melodies and lyrics are very much welcomed and highly appreciated.

Each entrant or participating group must submit no more than 3 entries no later than December 2018.

After 3 rounds of selecting and judging, a first prize of 50 million VND, 2 second prizes of 30 million VND each, 3 third prizes of 20 million VND each and 4 consolation prizes of 10 million VND each will be given out to outstanding contestants.

Besides, the entry receiving the highest number of public votes will receive 10 million VND in cash.
