According to the airlines, the 49-year-old passenger fainted an hour after the plane, BL211, took off from Ha Noi’s Noi Bai International Airport, carrying 170 passengers onboard.
When finding the passenger vomiting, feeling dizzy and faint, the flight attendants, in prompt fashion, gave first aid to him onboard, and notified the captain to make an emergency stop.
The city airport's ground service staff helped to rush the ill passenger to the Hoan My Hospital for medical care shortly after the landing at around 11.25am.
The flight resumed its journey at 11:00 am on the same day.
According to the hospital’s doctors, the male passenger had long suffered from a serious balance disorder, and had taken his prescribed medication before the flight.
He is now in stable condition, and will be discharged from hospital soon.
Jetstar Pacific said it would offer free tickets for the passenger and his relative on the flight when he fully recovers his health.
Last month, a Jetstar Pacific flight had to stop on the runway and head back to the terminal as a Czech pregnant passenger was bleeding and in need of emergency medical care.
