At around 7.30pm on Sunday, Mai Phuoc Thien, a student from the People's Police V Intermediate School, found a leather wallet whilst he was regulating the traffic at the intersection of Bach Dang, Tran Phu, Nguyen Van Linh, 2 September and Trung Nu Vuong streets. The wallet contained 3 million VND in cash, and some important personal papers with the name of Nguyen Van Bac.

Soon after, Thien reported the case to his team’s leader in a bid to return the lost property to its owner.

At 1.30pm on the same day, the Traffic Police Division of the city’s Police Department contacted Mr Bac, and returned the missing property to him.

Mr Bac said that he was on business trip to Da Nang on Saturday and unfortunately dropped his wallet. He expressed his sincere appreciation to Thien and local traffic police for their good deed.
