On Wednesday, police officers from the Crime Investigation Division of the Da Nang Police Department arrested 46-year-old Mai Thi Thuy, who is residing in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Minh Ward, for ‘defrauding money and appropriating property’.

According to the initial police investigation, Mrs Thuy has built trust with many people to borrow money with the purpose of doing her own business and paying her bank loans. As a result, she has been found cheating 4 victims of 9 billion VND in total.

The case is under further investigation.
