A South Korean man has been arrested and charged in robbery from a taxi driver in Da Nang, according to the Ngu Hanh Son district police.
Park Young Jun, 49, was charged with theft of property.
The Ngu Hanh Son district police said the incident began on 23 November when the South Korean man took a Mai Linh company-operated taxi driven by 26-year-old taxi Vo Van Duc from Hue City to Da Nang.
When they were en route on Vo Nguyen Giap street in Da Nang, Park Young Jun unexpectedly threatened the taxi driver with a knife, and asked the victim to give all his own property.
After stealing property from the victim, the foreign offender fled. However, Park Young Jun was then arrested by an on-duty patrol team from the Ngu Hanh Son district police.
