Jointly organised by the municipal Journalists’ Association and the DA NANG Newspaper, the event attracted the participation of many reporters and donors across in the city.

As a result, a total of 53.950 million VND was raised from generous donors for the programme to help those in need, including reporters in difficult circumstances.

The monthly ‘Ly Ca Phe Yeu Thuong’ programme is held on the first Saturday morning of each month. Each cup of coffee or other optional types of beverages is priced at only 50,000 VND, which covers the payment for the drink and financial donations for the programme.

In particular, New Hawaii coffee shop- one of the sponsors of the program – has pledged to donate 10% of its revenue during this monthly programme.

Part of the donations raised from the 1st and 2nd programmes went to help 8-year-old Nguyen Ngoc Anh Nhi from Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Minh Ward who is suffering from acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and teacher Nguyen Van Hang from Son Tra District’s Nai Hien Dong Ward and 68-year-old Nguyen Thi Bay from Thanh Khe District’s Hoa Khe Ward, both living in very difficult circumstances.
