Free surgery for poor children with heart complaints and hydrocephalus
On Monday, representatives from the Da Nang General Hospital and the Hang Huu Charity Fund entered into an agreement about providing free surgery for poor children with heart congenital failure and hydrocephalus.

The event was witnessed by municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri and People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh.
Under the agreement, the Fund will cover all the surgical costs for poor children from Da Nang and neighbouring localities who receive medical treatment at the hospital.
The charity programme will run until 2020. Then, this charity fund will continue providing support for the hospital depending on the actual situation.
Also at the event, the Hang Huu Charity Fund donated medical equipment to the hospital. Included were multifunctional child breathing machine, patient monitor system 7 parameters, CardioHelp System for ECMO, and surgical instruments for open heart surgery.
Founded by Mr Huynh Uy Dung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dai Nam Joint Stock Company, and his wife Nguyen Phuong Hang, the ‘Hang Huu Heart Fund’ is named after their son.
In Da Nang, since 2014, the fund has provided financial and material assistance to the hospital through free surgery for poor patients with heart problems, especially child patients.
