A joint bid from the HAWACO Mechanical and Electrical Co Ltd and ANSV Telecommunication Equipment Co Ltd has won the right to build automatic monitoring systems totalling 36.7 billion VND at wastewater treatment plants in Da Nang.

In particular, the successful contractors will install a system to connect the existing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems of the wastewater collection pump stations across the city.

A new automatic monitoring system will be built to supervise the quality of wastewater discharged from the Son Tra Wastewater Treatment Plant. This new system will be connected with the existing SCADA systems of the Hoa Xuan, Son Tra, Phu Loc and Lien Chieu wastewater treatment plants.

In addition, the successful contractors will be responsible for building monitoring systems at Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) to issue early threat warning about untreated wastewater overflows into the environment, and constructing flow measurement systems at wastewater collection stations in order to monitor, manage, and evaluate the capacity of the wastewater collection at various points.

The project is expected to be implemented within 12 months.
