Being the youngest in her family with 8 children, Nu unfortunately cannot have a normal life like her older brothers and sisters because she has been disabled since birth.
She has the body of a child, and she cannot stand up right with her shrunken legs. Therefore, she has been facing numerous difficulties during the travelling and studying.
When Nu was a senior high school pupil, her parents had to rent a small room near the school to facilitate their daughter to go to school easily because Nu’s school was quite far from her home.
After graduating from the senior high school, the studious girl once again had to go to Da Nang to continue her studying by her own. The journey has become more and more arduous, but the strong-willed girl has never faltered in her determination.
Presently, Nu is studying at the Information Technology Faculty of the city’s Duy Tan University.
The university has 5 campuses in total, so Nu has been facing difficulties in moving between her school's campuses. Her rental room is near campuses on Nguyen Van Linh and Phan Thanh streets, facilitating her travelling more convenient.
However, in order to go to campuses on Quang Trung street or in Lien Chieu District, she usually uses motorbike taxi service or hitchhikes with her friends.
Thanks to her great efforts in studying, Nu has been granted fully-granted scholarship from the University, and the studious student is now trying to realise her dream.
Sharing about her future plans, Nu said she wanted to create a wrist device connected with smartphones for the elderly in order to help them measure their blood pressure. If their blood pressure suddenly increases, the device will automatically transmit warning signals to them.
