At around 2.30pm, the district’s Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department received an SOS message from local residents about a grass fire along Le Duc Tho in Nai Hien Dong Ward. After that, 2 fire engines and 10 firefighters were immediately sent to the scene.

Due to the hot weather associated with strong winds and dry grass, the fire quickly spread more than 2,000m2 in total. Thanks to the great efforts of the firefighters, the blaze was completely extinguished after 40 minutes.

The cause of the incidents was initially identified to be that owners of the land lots lit the dry grass, but they couldnot control the fire.
