On Wednesday, Head of the Da Nang Department of Publicity and Training Tran Dinh Hong, Chairman of the municipal Journalists' Association cum Acting Editor-in-Chief of the Da Nang Newspaper Nguyen Duc Nam, and some representatives from the Executive Board of the ‘Cup of Compassion Coffee’ programme, visited and presented gifts to a boy with illness along with 2 senior singles.

Amongst them was 17-year-old Doan Van Thinh in Hoa Vang District who is suffering from cerebral vascular malformations living in Phuoc Thuan-Phuoc Hau Village, Hoa Nhon Commune, Hoa Vang District. In addition, there were senior singles  namely Nguyen Thi Hue, 94, and Nguyen Thi Ke, 89, both in Lien Chieu District’s  Hoa Hiep Nam Ward. Each of them received 5 million VND from the programme’s fund.

Apart from financial aid from the programme’s fund, Thinh received 19.2 million VND in aid which was raised from the Da Nang Newspaper’s readers.

Thinh is receiving medical treatment at the Da Nang General Hospital. Therefore, further donations are still needed and can be sent to the DA NANG Newspaper, 6 Tran Phu Street, Da Nang (Phone: 02363812341 and 0905832222) or its account No 100214851000415 at the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Import-Export Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank).
