The Party chief asked leaders of the municipal Department of Health and the Hospital to make their efforts to ensure the smooth operation and effective management of the soon-to-be-developed centre.

Mr Nghia stressed the need for the hospital to improve its facilities, as well as enhance the professional skills, and the material and spiritual lives, of its staff.

In reply, a hospital representative revealed the construction of the cancer screening centre was estimated to cost nearly 47 billion VND. The cost will come from the hospital’s fund which has been donated by generous domestic and foreign organisations and individuals over recent years.
