The Da Nang authorities have recently given a ban on over 30-seater coaches from some certain streets during 10.30am - 12.00pm and 4.30pm - 7.00pm daily with the purpose of reducing congestion in the city centre during rush hours.

The banned streets are sections inside the Nguyen Tat Thanh-Ly Thai Tong-Hoang Thi Loan-Dien Bien Phu-Nguyen Tri Phuong-Nguyen Huu Tho-Xo Viet Nghe Tinh-2 September-Bach Dang-3 February-Nguyen Tat Thanh margin route.

Over 2.5-ton trucks have been prohibited from travelling along the above-mentioned streets between 6.00am and 10.00pm daily.

These vehicles have been only allowed to travel from 10.00pm until 6.00am on the following day on some streets. The allowed streets are Dong Da, Tran Cao Van, a section of Quang Trung between its intersection of Dong Da and Tran Cao Van, Ton That Dam, Ha Huy Tap, Ha Khe, Duy Tan, Tran Thi Ly, a section of Le Thanh Nghi between its intersection of Cach Mang Thang Tam and 30 April, and a section of 30 April between its intersection of Le Thanh Nghi and Nguyen Huu Tho.

Meanwhile, under 2.5-ton trucks have been unallowed from travelling on the banned streets from 6.30am - 8.30am, 11.00am - 12.00pm, and 4.00pm - 7.00pm daily.

Administrative fines will be officially imposed on violators from 1 September onwards.
