Nine fishermen have been rescued after their boat started to sink off Da Nang coast.  

The DNa 90929 TS fishing boat at Da Nang's Tho Quang Fishing Wharf before it sank off Da Nang coast.

The DNa 90929 TS from Da Nang, with a crew of 9 onboard, started taking on water at 5.00am on Thursday about 210 nautical miles off the Da Nang coast, and made a distress call to the Da Nang Coastal Information Station.

Soon after, the station asked fishing boats operating nearby to help the distressed fishermen.

At 8.50 am, the fishing boat DN 90929 TS was completely submerged, sending all crew stranded in the water. At that time, fishing vessel QNg 95563 TS from Quang Ngai Province which was 2 nautical miles away from the distressed boat promptly rescued the crew stranded in the water.

Currently, the fishing vessel QNg 95563 TS carrying 9 distressed fishermen onboard continued carrying out its offshore fishing activities, and it has yet to come back to the mainland.
