Among them were 18 South Korean air passengers arriving in Da Nang from Daegu City on 24 February, and the remainder coming from coronavirus-hit areas in this country and staying in the city.

In the morning of 24 February, a total of 80 air passengers were isolated in Da Nang after arriving in Da Nang from Daegu City due to public fears over the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Twenty of them were South Korean citizens, two were Thai nationals, and the remaining 58 passengers were Vietnamese nationals who are studying and working in South Korea.

The Vietnamese passengers were being kept in quarantine at the Dong Nghe Training Centre which is used to receive people from epidemic-infected areas. Meanwhile, the foreigners were isolated at the Lung Hospital.

Dr Le Thanh Phuc, Director of the hospital, said that 2 out of 20 South Korean passengers accepted the hospital isolation for 14 days to prevent the spread of infection as required by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.
