The city's health official affirms new confirmed coronavirus case in Hong Kong couldnot spead the virus to locals and visitor arrivals during his visit to city
The Da Nang Department of Health on Wednesday dispelled rumours being spread on social networking sites that a new confirmed coronavirus case in Hong Kong who was infected with the virus during his visit to Da Nang.
The city health officials affirmed that there is no possibility for this confirmed case in Hong Kong to get infected with the virus in Da Nang, and he couldnot spread the virus to locals and vistior arrivals in the city during his stay in Da Nang from 30 January to 1 February.
18 days have passed since the Hong Kong man left Da Nang. There are currently no confirmed cases of the virus in the city. As of Wednesday afternoon, only 2 suspected cases had been reported, and there are currently no confirmed cases of the virus in Da Nang.
The Centre for Health Protection under the management of the Hong Kong Department of Health announced on 17 February (local time) that 3 new confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded in Hong Kong. Among the new confirmed cases was a 45-year-old man who is living in Tsz Wan Shan.
On 12 February, the man had a fever and sore throat, and he then went to see a private doctor for an examination on the next day.
On 16 February, he was admitted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and he then tested positive for the virus. Fortunately, he is now in stable condition.
