Some tourism service providers have proactively suspended their operations in response to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

In particular, 7 sightseeing boats have temporarily halted their operations on the Han River.

Also, the Son Tra Night Market is temporarily closed as concerns over the growing coronavirus pandemic worsen.

In addition, many hotels in the city have registered to serve as quarantine places for suspected Covid-19 cases. They have taken precautionary measures like spraying disinfectant, delivering free face masks and offering hand sanitisers at public areas.

Most recently, a total of around 50 tour guides who can speak English, Japanese, Chinese, South Korean, Thai, French, Spanish and Russian languages have registered to work at 7 checkpoints which have been set up within major entry and exit points in the city.

Accommodation establishments and tourism firms have started to require their guests to fill out health declaration forms in a bid to prevent spread of the virus into the city.
