Fundraising appeals for Rice ATMs' operation
'Compassion Rice' Charity Programme
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are witnessing a crisis never before seen in our lifetime. The coronavirus pandemic is affecting the lives of billions global.
The Covid-19 outbreak has forced the Vietnamese government to take unprecedented measures to slow down the spread of this disease. Specifically, Viet Nam has put in place nationwide social distancing measures since 1 April.
As a result, thousands of non-essential businesses have been shuttered and tens of thousands of people temporarily laid off from work.
We know that the financial impact of this crisis is going to hit many people hard, and the number of people affected by the pandemic will continue to rise if the disease develops more complicated in the time to come.
Therefore, the Da Nang Young Entrepreneurs' Association is joining forces with the city's Youth Union and the Hai Chau District authorities to organise the 'Compassion Rice' charity programme to help those affected by the pandemic in the city, particularly those who are most vulnerable.
And, it is an honour for our newspaper to work with the above-mentioned organisations on this meaningful programme. In order to maintain the programme from now until June, we are urgently asking you to lend a helping hand to vulnerable residents impacted by the pandemic by giving cash or material donations.
