Da Nang, and elsewhere in the mid-central region from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai provinces, will see temperatures rising day by day this week as western low pressure is developing and moving into the southeast region, the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting has warned.

Forecasters say temperatures will ramp up to highs of a scorching 39 degrees Celsius, and the hotter conditions throughout the mid-central region are expected to last until this weekend.

In Da Nang, temperatures will range from 36-38 degrees Celsius with sunny spells for most. Mercury can remain above 38 degree Celsius in some parts of the city, especially from 11.30am until 2.00pm. Meanwhile, the lowest humidity is reported as between 50 and 60%.
