The programme aims to support the Vietnamese Prime Minister's appeal to ensure that no one is left behind in a bid to help the most vulnerable people and disadvantaged people nationwide.

Through this programme, VYF is partnering with charitable organisations to make food parcels available to those affected by the coronavirus outbreak in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong, and Can Tho.

In Da Nang, a total of 26,000 food parcels will be delivered to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people from now until 1 May.

Each food parcel will consist of a kilo of rice, a bunch of fresh vegetables, and some meat, fish and eggs.

On the first day of launching the programme in the city, the organisers delivered 2,000 food parcels to disadvantaged people in the districts of Ngu Hanh Son, Cam Le and Hai Chau, plus members of the municipal Association for Disabled Youth.

The remaining food parcels will be delivered to those in need across the city in the coming time.

In details, 2,750 food parcels will go to help poor families in Thanh Khe District, 2,750 in Hoa Vang District, 3,000 in Hai Chau District, 3,250 in Ngu Hanh Son, 3,250 in Cam Le District, 4,500 in Son Tra District, 6,000 in Lien Chieu District, and 500 to the municipal Association for Disabled Youth.
