24 Chinese illegal immigrants in Da Nang quarantined
Twenty-four Chinese nationals who had entered Da Nang illegally have been put under quarantine in a Son Tra District-based hotel, Director of the district’s Medical Centre Pham Hong Nam announced on Monday evening.
On 18 July, 24 Chinese people were found to have illegally stayed in Da Nang and then the city authorities quarantined them and monitor their health in a hotel located on Loseby Street in Son Tra District.
The Chinese illegal immigrants have tested negative for the novel coronavirus once.
“Currently, the Chinese people are in stable health conditions but they will continue undergo quarantine and health monitoring for 14 days under the Ministry of Health's guidelines” Dr Nam said.
Preliminary investigation showed that the Chinese citizens had illegally immigrated to Viet Nam, and it remains unclear how exactly they had travelled to the country.
