Da Nang calls for investment in 7 healthcare projects

The Da Nang government has sent a list of seven new healthcare projects in the city during the 2021-2025 period to the Vietnamese Ministry of Health for consideration and approval.

In detail, Da Nang will ask for funding of 500 billion VND from Viet Nam’s national government to develop emergency medical services for sea and islands in Lien Chieu District, and build a hospital on the northern side of Hoa Vang District.

In addition, the city will call on domestic and foreign investors to pour money into the remaining 5 projects. Included will be a 500 billion VND care centre for elderly people in Cam Le District, and a 115 billion VND International Centre for Medical Diagnosis and Treatment and the 1st stage of the Central Paediatrics Hospital worth 1,520 billion VND both in Son Tra District.

Besides, the General Hospital providing safe high quality healthcare services to our communities and a 500-bed International Cancer Hospital projects totalling 11,000 billion VND, will be implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP) format.
