Da Nang's employment rate up 4.5% YoY
Over the past 5 years, the Da Nang Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs has hosted 162 job fairs which attracted the participation of about 18,000 local businesses offering a combined total of over 43,000 employment opportunities.
In addition, a total of 320,000 job seekers have accessed career counseling services designed to help them find suitable jobs where they will be able to flourish.
Thanks to these effective measures, Da Nang’s employment rate has recorded an annual increase of 4.5% over the review period.
Besides, numerous poverty reduction and welfare programmes in Da Nang have made great strides. 100% of the city-based martyrs' cemeteries have been upgraded, and 98% of the local children in special circumstances have received care and support. A total of 2,466 drug addicts have re-integrated into the community after their compulsory rehabilitation.
The figures were released at a review meeting on Monday hosted by the municipal Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
Also at this event, 2 groups and 36 individuals were honoured with certificates of merit from the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs in recognition for their dedicated support to locally-held patriotic emulation movements over the review period.
Meanwhile, certificates of merit from the municipal Department of Laboir, War Invalids and Social Affairs went to 6 dedicated units and 33 individuals.
