Negative test results for 761 close contacts of Da Nang's coronavirus patients

The Da Nang health officials confirmed on Monday morning that tests on 761 close contacts of Da Nang’s three new coronavirus patients, mainly Viet Nam's 416th patient, have come back negative. All of these close contacts are placed in isolation for 14 days in local designated sites.

The three new confirmed cases in Da Nang are a 57-year-old male resident of Lien Chieu District (patient No 416), a 61-year-old male resident of Hai Chau District’s Thanh Binh Ward (patient No 418), and a 71-year-old female resident of Hai Chau District’s Hoa Cuong Nam Ward (patient No 420).

The Vietnamese Ministry of Health is urging all people who travelled to some places below where the 419th and 420th patients had visited between 14 and 23 July to contact their nearest medical facilities to get support.

In particular, these patients visited the Da Nang Hospital C (from 20 to 22 July), the Da Nang General Hospital (on 18 July at room 506, the Department of Internal Respiratory Medicine, and on 23 July at the Department of Intensive Care), plus the Da Nang Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Hospital (from 14 to 16 July) and its canteen and drugstore, and patient room No 401 on 20 and 21 July.

Also, the 419th patient used the Thanh Huong transport service based in Quang Ngai Province at 3.00 pm on 17 July from the Da Nang Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Hospital to Quang Ngai Province, and at 3.00am on 20 July from Quang Ngai Province to the Da Nang Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Hospital.

The Vietnamese national health officials are urging all passengers who were on board train SE7 from Da Nang to Quang Ngai Province at 11.00pm on 21 July, along with those who visited the Hoa Cuong Wholesale Market in the mornings from 8 - 12 July, the Miss No eatery selling ‘bun bo’ (beef rice vermicelli) on Nguyen Thuy Street in Quang Ngai Province in the morning of 18 July and the province’s Labour Culture House on 23 July between 8.00pm and 9.00pm, and attended a housewarming party on Nguyen Thong Street in Quang Ngai Province on 19 July, to immediately contact the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control on 1900988975 or the Quang NGai Province Centre for Disease Control on 0914021022  to get support.
