Repatriation flight for Vietnamese nationals from Romania touches down in Da Nang

280 Vietnamese nationals were brought home in a repatriation flight from Romania on Wednesday.

The repatriation flight VN68 touched down at Da Nang International Airport at 8.00am.

Passengers included children and young people (under 18s), seniors, sick people, travellers, university and college students finishing their studies abroad, and guest workers who have their visas expired and labour contracts terminated.

All passengers travelling on the flight had their health checked and were required to complete their health declaration.

All of them were quarantined in Da Nang for 2 weeks after entering Viet Nam as a precaution against coronavirus.

In detail, 148 people are under isolation in the Dong Nghe Training Centre in Hoa Vang District's Hoa Khuong Commune, and 114 are put in quarantine in the Centre for Training National Defense and Security Knowledge in Lien Chieu District. In addition, 14 foreigners are undergoing a mandatory 14-day period of self-isolation in two hotels in Da Nang.

Specially, among the repatriated passengers were 4 people with illnesses, of whom, two cancer patients were taken to the city’s Cancer Hospital for isolation and medical treatment, whilst the remainder are being isolated in the Hospital for Lung Diseases and the Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital.

Also, the aircraft, the entire passenger cabin, cockpit and cargo storage area were disinfected after landing.
