The 46.1 billion VND much-awaited project aims to fully tap the location’s great advantages and potential to create new tourism products, hereby, diversifying types of services and utilities for the public interests.

The Da Nang government has provided a 10.7 billion VND grant to carry out the project, and the remaining cost came from the Trung Thuy – Da Nang JSC- the developer of a Nam O eco-tourism area.

It is known that the project is highly feasible thanks to its main advantages in terms of natural landscape, relics, traditional craft villages and local cuisine.

The project focusses fully tapping tourism potential of the Nam O Village in combination with conserving heritage, advertising fishing village practices and products to tourists, and facilitating local residents to tout for business from tourism activities.

In detail, under the overall orientations for developing community-based tourism in Nam O area, priority will be given to expanding internal transport routes, upgrading public beaches along coastal Nguyen Tat Thanh street, embellishing the existing relic sites, installing tourist piers and developing the Nam O eco-tourism area.

Besides, the Snail Museum, shops, ecological spas, food courts and a cultural village will be created. In particular, on display at the Snail Museum will be products related to sea snails, and handicraft products made from slow moving marine gastropod molluscs.

In addition to favourable conditions created by the city’s tourism industry to increase the involvement in offering tourism services to visitors, some typical tourism products will be added to the project.

Notable amongst them are tours to admire the charming sunrise and sunset over Nam O Bay from coracle boats, swim at Nam O Beach, and visit many unique cultural and architectural relic sites here.

Also, visitors will have a chance to explore local culture, visit time-honoured traditional craft villages and enjoy Nam O specialities, take photos at Nam O Reef, have pleasant homestay experiences with the locals, visit mural villages, and walk around the Nam O Reef for relaxation.

It is notable that the Trung Thuy – Da Nang JSC is attempting to invite world-renown architect Bill Bensley, the creative mind behind some of the world's most incredible luxury resorts, for a specific design of the Nam O eco-tourism area.

Ms Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy General Director of the Trung Thuy – Da Nang JSC Company, affirmed her business’s stance on preserving the inherent beauty of the Nam O Village.

The company has committed to protecting the natural environment, in tandem with developing time-honoured traditional craft villages, preserving traditional culture, and also importantly, always putting the interests of the public first so as to heading towards a sustainable tourism environment.

The company is looking forward to developing Nam O into an inviting place in the city associated with the proper exploitation of the nature and cultures, and making this site a “do not miss” place in Da Nang .
